Sustainability is an interdisciplinary task in any company. It involves different areas and company structures that have to work together in order to achieve set goals such as saving energy and resources. Many companies have made sustainability their task, because in times of climate change, scarcity of resources and increased energy costs, it is not only advisable to be economical, but also to create and maintain quality of life for future generations.
Doing business sustainably in a company means thinking in the long term. Processes have to be created and standardized, structures for savings have to be established, so that in the end it is possible to effectively manage sustainably.
This is a major issue in production and in the manufacturing industry. Once a start has been made, resources and consumption can be analyzed, and the knowledge gained can be used to adapt work processes in order to produce more sustainably.
In the past, consumption data was insufficiently available and thus production was in a "blind flight".
At Quantis, we help our customers take a new approach to sustainability. The Pocket Factory makes it possible to start at the base, the data acquisition.
The valid data we provide is further processed in our Rule Based Manager. This enables us to generate parameters that are calculated using logical, mathematical and statistical operations. Processed parameters of this data are presented in easy-to-understand dashboards. Additionally set notifications facilitate the detection of limit violations. It is no longer necessary to analyze the data on site; instead, the system communicates the changes.
